Annual releases

Annual releases may include information such as:
- Release of statistics, including findings from anti-racism research priorities
- Updates on the implementation of the Anti-Racism Data Act
- Open data
- Culturally safe practices for how to do anti-racism research
Being transparent about the work we’re doing enables Indigenous and racialized communities to use this information to advocate for change.
What is the release of statistics?
Under section 19 of the Anti-Racism Data Act, each year by June 1, we must publish statistics or other information related to systemic racism and racial equity. This is known as release of statistics.
The Anti-Racism Data Committee reviews these materials for harms before release. The Province must also consult and cooperate with Indigenous Peoples and share materials for consent before release.
