This report examines career movement for Indigenous and racialized employees over three reporting periods (2020, 2022 and 2024) to understand how representation changed over time.

Alongside their review, the Anti-Racism Data Committee shared their reflections on this year’s release of statistics and government’s ongoing efforts to address systemic racism.

Identity Data Standards
In early 2026, government released two identity data standards and guidelines to support a more consistent approach to collecting, using and sharing Indigenous and racial identity information.
Supporting the creation of the BC Regional Information Governance Centre
Under Action 3.14 of the Declaration Act Action Plan, we’re supporting the establishment of a First Nations-governed and mandated regional information governance centre in alignment with the First Nations Data Governance Strategy.
